I always have such enjoyable conversations about business with Sally, who is a returning guest after her first appearance on episode 164. Her journey into now owning a facility is incredibly relatable and I always appreciate her honesty about the challenges she's had. One of those challenges was how tough her first few years were, and how much she doubted herself and her business during that time. 99% of us go through that stage but we don't talk about it anywhere near as often as we should, so that's where we begin this podcast. We also discuss why managing your money is a huge part of business success as well as how she decided to she wanted to go into facility ownership.

In today's show, we have another episode of the very originally named "fitness industry conversations with Alex Pearson". I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation and feel we hit on some topics that will help a lot of people out. Namely, we talked about why personal training needs a proper definition and how to avoid burnout.

In this episode, we welcome on Cameron Cummings. Cameron has built up a fantastic business inside of a commercial gym in Edinburgh and is the man who is running our commercial gym trainer group at LTB, and filling it weekly with ideas and insights on becoming a successful commercial gym PT. In this episode, we welcome on Tom Morgan, Dai Lees and Alex Gibilaro from Hy3rid. We cover bodyweight training, what it's like working as three mates who are business partners and why it's ok as a PT to lose your motivation for training. Semi-private personal training (SPPT) is a model that many trainers get into to advance their careers. It allows you to work with more people, earn more money and not become stuck with the standard 1-1 model that only allows you to do so many hours. But, SPPT isn't easy and there are many trainers who get into it and decide they don't like it as they don't know how to make it work.
In this episode, I speak to 7 trainers from a range of backgrounds who are all running SPPT in some form within their business. Some own facilities, some do it out of other people's studios and some do it out of commercial gyms.
